>> COGNITIVE BEHAVIOR THERPY FOR INSOMNIA (CBT-I) HAS BEEN RECOMMENDED BY THE ACADEMY OF SLEEP MEDICINE AS THE FIRST LINE TREATMENT FOR CHRONIC INSOMNIA
Participants to the workshop will learn the following
1) describe the epidemiology of sleep disorders
2) utilize the four components of CBT-I - psychoeducation about sleep, sleep hygiene,cognitive, and sleep restriction
3) assess using sleep diaries, sleep efficiency and relate that to outcome
This course is intended for mental health professionals, psychologists, physicians, and terminal level master degreed clinicians who have completed their own programs of study.
